When Can You Add or Update Delivery Instructions?
You have the flexibility to add or update your special delivery instructions up to 48 hours before the scheduled day of delivery. Our dedicated delivery team will do their utmost to accommodate these changes.
For orders being shipped via FedEx, please follow the specific instructions provided separately for FedEx - shipped items.
What Information Can Be Included in Delivery Instructions?
· Property Type: Let us know the type of property, such as a house, apartment building, or commercial establishment. This helps our delivery team better understand the delivery environment.
· Gate or Door Code: If there are gates or locked doors that the delivery agent needs to access, provide the relevant codes.
· Number of Stairs: Inform us about the number of flights of stairs the delivery agent will have to navigate. This is crucial for ensuring a smooth delivery, especially for heavier items.
· Elevator Availability: If your building has an elevator, mention its availability. This can significantly impact the delivery process, especially for large or bulky items.
· Package Drop - off Location: Specify a particular location for the package drop - off, such as a side entrance, a porch area, or a designated package locker.
· Certificate of Insurance (COI) Requirement: If your building requires a Certificate of Insurance from the delivery service, make sure to include this information.
· Point of Contact Details: Provide the name, phone number, and email of the point of contact at the delivery location. This can be useful in case the delivery team needs to reach out for any reason.
Requesting a Certificate of Insurance (COI)
If your building mandates a Certificate of Insurance (COI), it's important to plan ahead. You should request a COI at least three business days before your delivery date. Please note that you will be responsible for providing this certificate to your building management.
Will Updating Instructions Change Your Delivery Method?
No, adding or updating your delivery instructions will not affect the delivery speed or method you initially selected. If you wish to change your service level, such as upgrading from standard to express shipping or changing the type of delivery (e.g., from curbside to inside - home delivery), please refer to our Shipping Information article for detailed guidance on how to make such changes.
